Raymond Bauer

Cannelton, Indiana - Raymond L. Bauer, 81, passed away at 11:25 PM on Friday, May 20, 2016, at St. Mary's Medical Center in Evansville. He was born in Perry County, Indiana, on October 9, 1934. His parents were the late Elmer Bauer and Florence (Huff) Fuchs. Also preceding him in death were a son, Wade Bauer; sister, Selma Wilbur and brothers, Bill and John Bauer and John, Earl and Carl Senn. A U.S. Army veteran, Ray married Emerita Gamez on December 7, 1991, in Reno, Nevada. He was a member of Seventh Street Baptist Church and retired from Norby Construction where he was a carpenter supervisor. Ray was a member of American Legion Post #213 and enjoyed playing euchre, going to shooting matches and spending time with family, friends and his dog, Pete. Surviving are his wife, Emerita; children, Kathy Bauer, Oscar Tomasino, Rosa Tomasino and Cesar Tomasino; sister, Elsie Kallbreier; grandchildren, Dominc Bauer, Brian Bauer, Benjamin Bauer and Elena, Julio, Mary, Anthony, Irene, Martin, Michael and Mason Tomasino and several great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, May 24, 2016, at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel, with burial in Troy Cemetery. Bro. Harold Draper will officiate. Military graveside rites will be conducted by American Legion Post #213. Visitation will be from 3:00 until 8:00 PM on Monday and from 9:00 AM until service time on Tuesday.
