Raymond Badger

Tell City, Indiana Raymond E. Badger, 93, passed away December 30, 2015 at Charlier Hospice Center in Evansville, Indiana. He was born in Derby, Indiana on September 20, 1922, son of the late Blaine and Clara (Wilson) Badger. Also preceding him in death was his wife Hilda (Hammack) Badger, daughter, Sandra Marie Badger and five siblings. Ray worked as a rural mail carrier for many years before being employed with Bunny Bread for 35 years. He enjoyed traveling, gardening, watching the Golf Channel and going out to eat. He is survived by his children; Nina Chesser (Kerry), Newburgh, IN, Vickie Christopher (Spike), Homer, AK, William L. Badger, Sr. (Shannon), Newburgh, IN and Judy Badger, Indianapolis, IN; grandchildren, Kerry "KC" Chesser, Jr., Kiana McLay (Marty), Ian Russell, Kyle Badger (Kavitha), William L. Badger, Jr., Keary Badger, Brock Badger and Brian Phelps, 12 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild; sisters, Merle Sodrel, Sebring, FL and Violet Myers, Cambridge, MA. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Saturday, January 2, 2016 at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel with burial in Deer Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. Oscar Epley will officiate. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until service time. Memorial contributions may be made to Deaconess VNA Plus Home Care and Hospice or American Cancer Society.
