St. Croix, Indiana - Ralph A. Neyenhaus, 63, passed away on Saturday, August 20, 2011, at Oakwood Health Campus in Tell City. He was born in Perry County on June 27, 1948. His parents were the late Alfred and Agnes (Frieler) Neyenhaus. Also preceding him in death was his brothers, Earl, in infancy and Andrew Neyenhaus A 1966 graduate of Tell City High School, Ralph married Alice Faye (Hubert) on September 24, 1966, at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Leopold. His illness forced his retirement from at Corn Island Shipyard where he was a foreman. He was a member of St. Isidore Catholic Church and enjoyed fishing, farming, his job at Corn Island and spending time with his granddaughters. Surviving are his wife of 44 years, Alice; sons, Mike Neyenhaus, his wife Michelle and daughters, Megan and Madeline, Waupaca, Wisconsin and Ken Neyenhaus, his wife Sheila and daughters, Amber, Janna and Kara, St. Croix; brothers, Leroy Neyenhaus (Doloris), Patronville and Charles Neyenhaus (Wilma), Tell City and a sister-in-law, Pat Neyenhaus, Tell City. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, August 24, 2011, at St. Isidore Catholic Church with burial in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 2:00 until 8:00 PM on Tuesday and from 8:30 until 9:15 AM on Wednesday at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society.
