Phyllis Lagrange

Dale, Indiana - Phyllis R. LaGrange, 87, formerly of St. Croix, passed away on Wednesday, November 27, 2013, at Northwood Retirement Community in Jasper. She was born in St. Croix on July 10, 1926, daughter of the late William and Florence (Dupaquier) Donnelly. Also preceding her in death were, her sisters, Hannah Hubert, Agnes Faulkenberg and Helen Kelly; brothers, Edward and Joe Donnelly; son, Rick LaGrange and a granddaughter, Brooke Flamion. Phyllis married Gerald LaGrange on June 25, 1946. He passed away in 2009. Phyllis graduated from Oil Township High School and enjoyed quilting, gardening and caring for her roses. A homemaker, she was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Dale, where she was a member of the Ladies Sodality. She was a former member of Holy Cross Catholic Church in St. Croix. At both parishes, she was active with the church's funeral meal committees. Surviving are her daughters, Patricia Flamion (Rick), Holland and Angie Ayer (Doug), Dale; sons, Allen LaGrange (Rita), Tell City, Clifford LaGrange (Joani), Leopold and Roger LaGrange (George), Los Angeles; daughter-in-law, Shannon LaGrange, Tell City;14 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 AM Monday, December 2, 2013 at Holy Cross with burial in the church cemetery. Rev. John Brosmer will officiate. Visitation will be 2:00 until 7:00 PM Sunday, where there will be a prayer service at 6:45PM and from 9:00 until 10:00 AM Monday at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to Brooke's Journey or Holy Cross Cemetery.
