Perry Allinger

Sulphur, Indiana Perry H. Allinger, 90, passed away Monday, November 9, 2015 at Kindred Transitional Care and Rehabilitation in Corydon, Indiana. He was born in Perry County, June 10, 1925, son of the late Henry and Eulalia (Ripperdan) Allinger. Also preceding him in death was his daughter, Sue Atkins, grandson, Brian Atkins, brothers, Charles and Raymond Allinger and sister, Ann Carmichael. Perry was united in marriage to Bonnie J. Smith on July 26, 1947, who survives him. He attended church and enjoyed gardening and being in the woods. A U.S. Air Force veteran serving in WWII, he retired from the U. S. Forest Service. Perry is survived by his wife of 68 years; Bonnie Allinger; son, Robert Allinger (Donna), Sulphur; brother, John Allinger, Oriole; 4 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. There will be graveside services, as per his request, at 1:00 PM EST (12:00 PM CST) on Thursday, November 12, 2015 at JefferiesCemetery, near Oriole. Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel, will be handling the arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to Jefferies Cemetery.
