Tell City, Indiana Paul Marcus King, 82, of Mableton, Georgia, formerly of Tell City, passed away Thursday, November 10, 2005 at Piedmont Hospital Paul was born November 3, 1923 in Perry County, Indiana the son of the late David and Sarah (Sprinkle) King. He was raised in a post-war America and grew up in a time that taught a man about the importance of hard work and honest living. Paul proudly served in the United States Army during WWII and spent time in Europe[a during the German occupation. He received many awards for his conduct and bravery in action. He was also a member of the American Legion and a true hero to all who knew him. Paul is survived by his wife of 57 years, Mary Jean King. They have two children together, Sandy Goodwin of Lawrenceville, GA, and Daniel King of Canton, GA. Paul was blessed with three grandchildren; Angle Cain, Sydney and Levi King and one great-grandchild; Hannah Marie Cain. He has one brother, Oral King, of Tell City, Indiana and two sisters, Lucille Peter, and Iola Lasher, both of Leopold, Indiana, as well as numerous other living relatives. Besides his parents, Paul was preceded in death by another sister, Verona Genet, and brothers, Delbert and Riley King. Paul will be missed by us all. A memorial service will be held Wednesday, November 16, 2005 at 1:30 PM at the Cremation Society of the South of Marietta, GA, and a second memorial service will follow Saturday November 19 at St Paul Catholic Church, Main & Jefferson Sts. in Tell City, Indiana. Family and friends are invited to attend either memorial service.
