Paul Doogs

St. Croix, Indiana Paul E. Doogs, 62, of St. Croix, died at 5:35 AM Sunday at Owensboro Mercy Health System in Owensboro, Kentucky. Paul was born January 11, 1942 in Perry County near Apalona, son of Earl Doogs and Pearl (Peter) Doogs of St. Croix who survive. He was a 1961 graduate of Oil Township High School and had attended Oakland City College. Paul was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was united in marriage on July 20, 1968 in Newburgh, Indiana to the former Patricia Hartz who also survives. Paul was employed at Corn Island Shipyard and was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church and the Leopold Conservation Club. He was an Indiana University basketball fan and enjoyed NASCAR racing. He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Patricia (Hartz) Doogs His parents, Earl and Pearl Doogs, one daughter, Dawn Doogs, one son, Shawn Doogs, and by one sister Pat Doogs, all of St. Croix, Indiana. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Leopold with burial in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 3-8 PM Tuesday where there will be a parish prayer service at 7:45 PM and 9-10:30 AM Wednesday at Huber Funeral Home, 1139 12th Street, Tell City, IN. Rev. Sean Hoppe, OSB will officiate. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Augustine Catholic Church or Cemetery or your favorite charity.
