Paul Brown

Paul Melvin Brown, 64, passed away on August 2, 2021 at Deaconess Gateway Hospital in Newburgh. He was born on March 16, 1957 in Tell City, son of the late Alice (Crawford) and Melvin Brown. Also preceding him in death were sisters, Melva Lynn Brown, Carolyn Boster, Patty Royer; brothers, David Fuchs and Larry Brown and a niece, Debbie Downing. Paul was united in marriage on September 13, 2006 to Cynthia Hinton. He had worked several years as a heavy equipment operator, currently for Turner Contracting in Bedford, where he was fondly known by his co-workers as "Brownie". Paul was a long-time member of First Baptist Church in Tell City. He enjoyed shooting guns, boating and fishing, Dodge trucks and was a drag racing fan. Paul particularly loved to spend time with his grandchildren and attending their sporting events other activities. Surviving is his wife of 15 years, Cindy Brown, Tell City; children, Randy Howe and Heidi Dixon (Scott), all of Tell City; grandchildren, Isabella and Abigail Howe, Alexandra, Brody and Cyrus Dixon; a sister, Lula Mae Downing (Lee), Aurora, Colorado and several nieces and nephews, including Rob Royer, Jr. (Mandi), of Tell City, who was like a son to Paul. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM CDT on Friday, August 6, 2021 at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel. Brother Brian Adkins will officiate. Burial will follow in Deer Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until service time at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
