Patrick Smith

Cannelton, Indiana - Patrick L. "Pat" Smith, 88, passed away on July 4, 2020. He was born on March 8, 1932, son of the late William F. and Jessie L. (Gaynor) Smith. Also preceding him in death was a daughter, Debbie. Pat was a 1950 graduate of Cannelton High School and was a United States Navy veteran. He had played music professionally and enjoyed spending time in radio station broadcasting and management. Pat also owned and operated Smitty's Tavern, formerly in Cannelton. Pat was blessed to have spent many of his last years "in paradise" (Hawaii) with his children and grandchildren. He returned home to Cannelton in recent years reminiscing about fond memories spent in the Jaycees, Kiwanis, American Legion and Lion's Club. Surviving him are his daughters; Shelley Salausa, Shannon Kameenui and Lisa Kimura all of Kauai, Hawaii and Michelle Ritchey of Bedford; 12 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and favorite nephew and best friend, Jon Kleeman. Pat will be laid to rest in the place he called home, Cannelton, Indiana.
