Patrick D. Holder, 64, passed away after a brief illness on September 9, 2024, at Deaconess Gateway Hospital in Newburgh.

On February 7, 1960, Donald and Barbara Holder welcomed a beautiful 9 lb. red-headed baby boy. He was born in Evansville, Indiana and attended high schools in Michigan and Iowa, later joining the Army in 1977 and was honorably discharged in 1980. Patrick was a material supply man and received his Expert Qualification Badge/ Rifle Bar. After his discharge, he spent most of his adult life in Midland, Michigan until he moved full time back to Derby, Indiana. He enjoyed many visits from family, sitting on his front porch drinking Coke and “journaling.”

Patrick is survived by his siblings, Karen Ann Smith (John VanNatta), Michael Holder, Linda Holder Beneker (Art), Laura Fischer (Rick) and Maria Phipps. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews who loved him dearly.

Preceding him in death were his parents Donald Holder and Barbara Emge; stepfather, Gene Emge and a sister, Sandy Yates.

Funeral services will be held at 5:00 PM CST on Thursday, September 12, 2024, at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel. Josh Harris will officiate with military honors by the American Legion Post #213.

Visitation will be from 1:00 PM until service time at the funeral home.
