Cannelton, Indiana - Patrick A. Bunner, 43, passed away on December 22, 2012, at his home. He was born in Tell City on September 9, 1969. His parents were the late Arvin and Mabel (Sandage) Bunner. Also preceding him in death was a brother, Lance Bunner and a nephew, Kenneth Hess. Pat was a 1988 graduate of Cannelton High School and received a Bachelor's and Master's Degree in Psychology from Indiana State University. He was employed by Federal Bureau of Prisons in Terre Haute, where he was a recreational yard specialist. A member of St. Michael Catholic Church, Pat was commander of Sons of American Legion Post #142 and enjoyed sports, especially the Cannelton Bulldogs, Indianapolis Colts, St. Louis Cardinals and ISU Sycamores. He looked forward to card games with friends and family and took pride in the upkeep of his property, where he spent time enjoying the simplicity of yard work and gardening. Pat married Tomee Sue Russell on July 7, 2007, in Charleston, South Carolina. Surviving are his wife, Tomee Sue Bunner; sisters, Linda Hilgenhold (Bob), Cannelton, Judy Steiner (Fred), Waukegan, Illinois, Arvina Bozarth, (Ed), Cannelton, June Terry, Tell City and Angela Howell (Tom), Tell City; uncle, Ross Riley, Cannelton; nieces and nephews, Paul Hess, Brian Hess, Gina Sharpe, Greg Hilgenhold, Dean Bozarth, Adam Terry, April Terry, Megan Wright, Courtney Wright and Melanie Russell and eleven great nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at 10 AM on Saturday, December 29, 2012, at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel. Visitation will be from 3:00 until 8:00 PM on Friday and from 9:00 AM until service time Saturday. Rev. David Rabenacker, OSB, will officiate. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Michael Church Restoration Fund and Harry G. Myers American Legion Post #142.
