Patricia Stirk

Tell City, Indiana Patricia R. Kahler Stirk, 73, passed away August 20, 2014, at her home, with her family at her side. She was born June 24, 1941, in Perry County, daughter of the late Charles and Edith (Phelps) Poehlein. Also preceding her in death was her first husband, Bill Kahler, second husband, Gordon Stirk, a sister in infancy, Elsie Poehlein, brothers, Charles, Gordon, Glenward "Duke", Justin and Austin Poehlein, and step-son, David Kahler. Pat was a 1959 graduate of Cannelton High School, where she had been a cheerleader. A life time member of VFW Ladies Auxiliary Post #2939, Pat had played in the women's softball league, enjoyed reading, horseback riding and being at home taking care of her family. She had worked at General Electric, Lickety Split gas station and Golden Living Center Lincoln Hills. Pat is survived by her daughters; Brenda Stephens (Paul Bouillon), Troy, Shelley Gregory (Derrik Berkley), Lewisport, Kentucky, Tabitha Brown (Chris), Tell City, Debby Poehlein, Gatchel and Tamara Kahler, Tell City; sons, Mike Kahler (Connie), Tell City and Todd Williams (Rose), Cannelton; several grandchildren and great grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 3:00 PM on Friday, August 22, 2014, at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel, with visitation from 2:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Thursday and from 2:00 until 3:00 PM on Friday. Memorial contributions may be made to the VFW Post #2939.
