Tell City, Indiana
Pamela Drake Davis, 70, passed away on Monday, February 19, 2024 at Select Specialty Hospital in Evansville.
She was born in Perry County on January 5, 1954, daughter of William and Thelma (Polk) Drake.
Pam was a 1972 graduate of Tell City High School and a 1976 graduate of Indiana State University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Home Economics. She was united in marriage on May 23, 1998 to Mark Davis, who survives.
Early in her career, Pam taught life skills classes to special education students in Webster County, Kentucky; home economics at the junior high school level in Michigan City, Indiana; and she spent the majority of her career at Lincoln Hills Development Cooperation in Tell City, first as Director of the Day Care Center and then supervising the Washington Street Elderly Housing Complex for Lincoln Hills, retiring in 2013.
Pam’s hobbies included crafts, playing cards, bowling, reading and traveling. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, especially her young grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband of 25 years, Mark Davis; sons, Mark Davis, Jr. and John Davis of Tell City; grandchildren, Lincoln Keith Davis and Isla Grace Davis; and several cousins.
Preceding her in death were her parents.
Visitation will be on Thursday, February 22, 2024 from 11:00 AM until 2:00 PM at Huber Funeral Home with burial to follow in Greenwood Cemetery.
