Olivia Leistner

Tell City, Indiana - Olivia E. Leistner, 98, passed away June 8, 2018 at Oakwood Health Campus. She was born in Mt. Vernon, Indiana on September 15, 1919 to the late Oscar and Charlotte (Dempesmeier) Hildenbrand. Also preceding her in death was her husband, Earl in 2013; son, Erwin Leistner; sister, Leona Leistner; and brother, Orville, in infancy. Olivia was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church. She enjoyed spending time with her family, quilting, gardening, baking and going dancing. Surviving is her daughter, June Peter (Pat), Tell City; daughter-in-law, Martha Leistner-Evans (Steve), Mt. Pulaski, Illinois; grandchildren, Dale Peter (Lori), Dale, IN and Jon Leistner (Malissa), Champaign, Illinois; five great grandchildren, Tyler Leistner, Jonathan and James Thomas, Lain Taleno and Chris Peter; two great-great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM CST Wednesday, June 13, 2018 at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel. Pastor Rodney Schmeltz will officiate. Burial will follow in St. John's Lutheran Church Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 10:00 AM -1:00 PM at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to St. John's Lutheran Church.
