Norma Schneider

Tell City, Indiana Norma D. Schneider, 82, passed away Thursday, May 19, 2011 at Oakwood Health Campus of an unexpected illness. She was born in Tell City on June 10, 1928 daughter of the late Clarence and Myrtle (Eads) Smith. She married Philip Roy Schneider June 10, 1947 in Tell City. Roy passed away in 2006. Also preceding her in death were her sisters, Pearl Paulin, Nellie James and Cordia McLevain, and brothers Virgil and Everett Smith. A 1946 graduate of Tell City High School, Norma was a member of Evangelical United Church of Christ, Eastern Star and American Legion Auxiliary. She had worked at General Electric, was a homemaker, had enjoyed gardening, and recently enjoyed spending time at home with her dog. She is survived by 2 sons, Daniel Schneider of Evansville and Jeff Schneider and his wife Vicki of Tell City and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services will be at noon Tuesday, May 24, 2011 at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel with burial in Greenwood Cemetery. Rev. Carly Stucklen-Sather will officiate. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until service time. Memorial contributions may be made to Evangelical United Church of Christ or Perry County Animal Shelter.
