Tell City, Indiana Naomi Oost, 77, passed away Monday, September 26, 2011 at her home. She was born February 20, 1934, in Tell City, daughter of the late Monroe and Nellie (Campbell) Poehlein. Naomi was united in marriage to Luther Oost on October 10, 1953 in Cannelton. She was a 1952 graduate of Tell City High School and retired from General Electric. Naomi was a member of First Baptist Church and enjoyed traveling, camping, reading and sewing. She is survived by her husband of 58 years Luther Oost; daughters, Sandra Little (Glenn) and Terri Richards (Tracy) both of Tell City; son, David Oost (Barbara), Tell City; sister, Margie House, Tell City; brothers, Norman Poehlein, Evanston and Kenneth Poehlein, Cannelton; grandchildren, Chad Oost, Melissa Dauby, Amanda Carter, Yvonna Holmes, Jonathan Wiseman, Jamie Henson and Jessica Richards; 15 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM Wednesday, September 28, 2011, at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel, with burial in Greenwood Cemetery. Rev. Andy Payton will officiate. Visitation will be from 2:00 until 8:00 PM on Tuesday and from 9:00 AM until service time on Wednesday. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, Easter Seals or your favorite charity.
