Myrna Cantner

Tell City, Indiana Myrna Cantner, 94, passed away January 4, 2018 at Golden Living Center-Lincoln Hills. She was born in Crawford County, Indiana on November 21, 1923 to the late William and Laura (Oxley) Cummins. Also preceding her in death was her husband, Clifford Cantner in 2012; her daughter, Tracey Jo Leistner; grandson, Luke Harding; sister, Naomi Nolan; brothers, Gordon, TH, Dudley and Powell Cummins. Myrna was a 1942 graduate of Cuzco High School. A homemaker, she was a member of Royal Neighbors of America, American Legion Auxiliary Unit 142 and VFW Women's Auxiliary. She enjoyed sewing, fishing, mushroom hunting, camping, gardening and watching birds. Surviving are her children, Tamara Husk (Jeff), Hawesville, Doug Cantner (Lisa) Pensacola, FL, Trisha Harris (Doug), Tell City and James Cantner (Bonita), English: 11 grandchildren, Jocelyn Curtis, Jeremy Leistner, Brandon, Andrew and Matthew Cantner, Jalen and Jenna Harris, and Wesley and Lauren Cantner; 14 great- grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM CST Saturday, January 6, 2018 at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel. Burial will follow in Birdseye Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday from 10:00 AM until 1:00 PM at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Perry County Animal Shelter.
