Tell City, Indiana
Midred Mae “Millie” Bryant, 85, passed away peacefully on October 13, 2024, at Oakwood Health Campus in Tell City, surrounded by her family.
She was born in Perry County on November 2, 1938, to Ivan and Inice (Lampkins) Blunk.
Millie was united in marriage to Mason “Bud” Bryant on June 25, 1983. They shared nearly 30 years together before his death in 2012.
Millie had worked in retail most of her life, including the former Tresslar’s and 3-D Department Store. She would also sit with the elderly and babysit.
She was always supportive of her daughters when they were younger and eventually turned into attending her grandchildren’s sporting events and band competitions. She adored her family, and she felt most purposeful being at home caring for their needs.
Having a good time and laughing with her friends was also important to Millie. Whether it was chatting with her Red Hat Society gals or dancing and doing activities with her buddies at Oakwood Assisted Living, she was always ready for fun.
She was a member of Troy Methodist Church.
Millie is survived by her daughters, Julie Thomas (Tony) and Sonia Ress (Ed); grandchildren, Colton Thomas (Chelsea), Luke Thomas and Josalyn Benningfield (Trent) and great grandchildren, Beau and Sage Thomas and Lennon and Drew Benningfield.
She is preceded in death by her husband, her parents, a brother, Garry Blunk and her beloved dog, Sadie.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM, Sunday, October 20, 2024, at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel. Rev. Bill Reid will officiate. Entombment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery.
