Miller Coney

Cannelton, Indiana Miller L. VanConey, 75, passed away on Friday, August 23, 2013, at St. Mary's Medical Center in Evansville. He was born in Hancock County, Kentucky on July 19, 1938. His parents were the late Oliver and Ruth (Clark) Van Coney. Also preceding him in death was a sister, Faye Thorn and brothers, Bill and Bob VanConey. Miller retired from Schwab Safe where he had worked for 38 years. He enjoyed University of Kentucky basketball, Los Angeles Dodgers baseball, spending time with his grandchildren and visiting with friends as he walked around Cannelton. He was a member of Agape' Community Church Surviving are his daughter, Ashley VanConey (Eldon Kendall), Tell City; sons, David Conner (Alicia), Cannelton and Michael VanConey (Stacey), Tell City; sisters, Grace Brown and Margie Cassidy, both of Tell City and grandchildren, Brogan VanConey, Chloe and Gavin Goffinet, Ashton Snyder and Jeffrey Kendall. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, August 27, 2013, at Huber Funeral Home, Cannelton Chapel, with burial in Memory Gardens Cemetery in Hawesville, Kentucky. Visitation will be from 2:00 until 8:00 PM on Monday and from 12:00 PM until service time on Tuesday. Bro. Bob Campbell will officiate. Memorial contributions may be made to Agape' Community Church or CHS Athletic Department.
