Mike Powers

Cannelton, Indiana - David M. "Mike" Powers, 54, passed away on Saturday, January 30, 2016, at Jewish Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky. He was born on October 11, 1961, in Perry County, son of the late David E. Powers and Betty (Mattingly) Powers who survives him. Mike was a 1980 graduate of Cannelton High School and enjoyed reading, especially military history and biographies. He is survived by his son, Matthew Powers, Ferdinand; mother, Betty Powers, Cannelton; sister, Shari Everly (Jeff), Tell City; brothers, Brett Powers, Cannelton and Jon Powers (Melissa), Columbus, Ohio and several nieces and nephews. His sister, Jessica (Powers) Russell passed away in 2002. Funeral services will be held at 7:00 PM on Wednesday, February 3, 2016, with visitation from 2:00 until 7:00 PM at Huber Funeral Home, Cannelton Chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Michael Catholic Church or Perry County Animal Shelter.
