Michael Martin

Michael J. Martin, 63, passed away April 20, 2021. He was born March 19, 1958 in Salina, Kansas son of the late Darrell and Mary (Cavender) Martin. Also preceding him in death were his brothers, Darrell "Dewey" Martin and Kenny Martin. Michael was a 1976 graduate of Tell City High School and a U.S. Navy veteran, serving in the Gulf War. He retired from the U. S. Navy and was a truck driver for Red Away. Michael was a man of faith who enjoyed reading his Bible, fishing, camping and wood crafting. Surviving are his children, Shawn, Ralph and Christopher Martin and a daughter; step-sons, Greg and David; his companion, Linda Mongillo, Troy; brother, Ralph Martin (Debbie), Dickson, TN; his loving nieces and nephews, Karen Martin, Tony Wright, Billie Marie Kohlmeyer, Amy Kendall and Amanda Martin and many great nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM Saturday, April 24, 2021 at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel. Burial with military rites will follow in New Hope Cemetery, Newtonville. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until 1:00 PM on Saturday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Gideon's.
