Michael Gray

Cannelton, Indiana Michael R. "Mike" Gray, 69, passed away December 28, 2018 at Oakwood Health Campus in Tell City. He was born in Perry County, Indiana on December 23, 1949 to the late Robert and Mary (Paulin) Gray. Mike was a graduate of Cannelton High School and was a retired U.S. Navy veteran. Later, he worked as a correctional officer for Branchville Correctional Facility for 20 years and was a member of the American Legion. Mike enjoyed bowling, but he most valued time spent with family and friends. Surviving are his children, Edward Gray of Jacksonville, Florida, Robert "Rob" Gray (Holly), Cannelton, Mary Fulkerson (Rodney), Cannelton and Christopher Gray, Cannelton; a brother, Brian Gray, Cannelton; 13 grandchildren, Domonick , Alyssa, Madalyn and Emersyn Gray, Rayven Logsdon, Taysia, Malayna and Nicholas Fulkerson, Steven Parr, Ethan Minto, Xander, Pia, and C.J. Gray; two great grandchildren, Laurissa Blake and Remi Logsdon; two nieces, Ilona Gray and Natasia Gupta and a nephew, Adam Gray. Preceding him in death were his parents and a sibling in infancy. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM CST Friday, January 4, 2019 at Huber Funeral Home, Cannelton Chapel. Burial will follow in St. Michael Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 2:00-7:00 PM and Friday 9:00-11:00 AM at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Perry County Animal Shelter.
