Michael Goffinet

Tell City, Indiana Michael C. Goffinet, 48, passed away Saturday, April 14, 2018 in White County, IL as a result of a semi accident. He was born in Tell City, Indiana on September 15, 1969, to the late Ferdinand Alphonse Goffinet and Claris Lorena (James) Goffinet, who survives him. Also preceding him in death was his brother, Tony Goffinet, and brother-in-law, Larry Ridener. Michael retired from the U.S. Navy, serving for over 20 years. Most recently, he was currently a truck driver for PAM Transport. Michael was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church. He enjoyed model cars, bicycling and running. Surviving is wife, Gliceria F. (Legaspi) Goffinet, Gulfport, MS; daughters, Mary Grace and Junaira; his mother, Claris L. Goffinet, Mt. Pleasant; sisters, Susie Ridener, St. Croix, Pat Howell (Ray), Gatchel, Rosa Hutchins (Wayne), Georgetown, Emma Hoffman (Donny), Hampton, VA and Theresa Bennett, Chrisney; brothers, Donald Goffinet (Ying-Ying Chen), Corydon, Charlie Goffinet (Diana), Mt. Pleasant, and Jerry Goffinet (Debbie), Derby. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM CST Saturday, April 21, 2018 at St. Augustine Catholic Church. Rev. Brian Esarey will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 2:00-7:00 PM and Saturday 8:30-9:30 AM at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to Perry County Humane Society.
