Michael Bennett

Corydon, Indiana - Michael Alexander Bennett, 26, passed from this life on October 24, 2015 at his family's home after a nearly three year battle with cancer. Mike was born on September 16, 1989, in Jasper, Indiana and graduated from Corydon Central High School in 2008. He then went on to earn a Bachelor of Arts degree from Indiana University in Bloomington in 2012. Michael was an exceptional award-winning writer with a gifted speaking voice. He was a contract voice-over artist by profession with Perfect Cut Productions in Chicago, Illinois. He leaves behind his loving family including his parents, Dr. & Mrs. David R. Bennett, Corydon; sister, Katherine Bennett, Louisville, Kentucky; brother, Matthew of Avon, Tim, Kevin and David all of Terre Haute; grandparents, Darla & Al Algood, Oldsmar, Florida and Denny & Linda Huber, Floyd Knobs and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Graveside services will be held at St. Meinrad Cemetery at 11:00 AM EST (10:00 AM CST) on Friday, October 30, 2015. A celebration of Michael's life will follow at his family's home. Friends and family are welcome to visit between 4:00 and 8:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations be made to the Michael A. Bennett "Cool Guy" Writer's Scholarship. Gehlbach and Royse Funeral Home in Corydon, along with Huber Funeral Home in Tell City will be handling the arrangements. .
