Mayme Jones

Rome, Indiana Mayme Seibert Jones, 90, passed away Thursday August 9, 2012 at her home. She was born June 1, 1922 in Perry County daughter of the late Isaac and Mary (Daum) Seibert. Also preceding her in death was her husband Chester Jones, son, Loren Jones, granddaughters, Cheryl Anson, Lydia Jones and Beth Ann Sandage, great-great grandson, Dakota Ahl, sisters, Minnie Hall, Rosie Knight, Esther Stowe and Ethel Carter, brothers, Arthur, Oscar, Roscoe, Herman, Orville, Earl and Harding Seibert, and her great grandson, Dakota Ahl. She was employed at General Electric for 35 years and a member of Hawesville Church of Christ. Mayme enjoyed gardening, card playing, bank trips, dancing and spending time with her family. Mayme is survived by her children, Mary Kellems, Ethel Terry, Ike Jones, Chester Lee Jones, David Jones, Carol Sandage, Carl Jones, Joyce Ahl, Janice Sue Burst, Larry Jones and Randy Jones, 30 grandchildren, 55 great grandchildren and 11 great-great grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM Saturday, August 11, 2012 at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel with burial in Lilly Dale Cemetery. George Jensen and Paul Vaughn will officiate. Visitation will be from 2:00 until 8:00 PM on Friday and from 9:00 until 11:00 AM Saturday. Memorial contributions may be made to Hawesville Church of Christ.
