Mattie Coiles

Tell City, Indiana Mattie L. Coiles, 81, of Tell City, passed away Thursday, October 30, 2014 at Memorial Hospital in Jasper. She was born January 4, 1933 in Hawesville, Kentucky, daughter of the late John Ball and Myrtle Coyle. She was united in marriage to Thomas Coiles who passed away in 1993. She was also preceded in death by brothers George N. Ball, John Ball and James Ball and her sister, Elizabeth Smith. Mattie retired from General Electric where she was employed thirty-nine years. In addition to her membership at Tell Street Baptist Church she enjoyed spending time with her family. She is survived by sons, James T. Coiles and Steven A. Coiles, both of Tell City and a daughter, Betty L. Hinton (Bob), Tell City; a sister, Kathleen McCarty, Owensboro, KY; a brother, Harold Ball, Tell City; four grandchildren, Jamie L. Boyer, Michael W. Hinton, William R. Hinton and Shasta M. Coiles; four great grandchildren, Destiny, Jarison, Trevan and Olivia Coiles. Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Sunday, November 2, 2014 at Huber Funeral Home, 1139 12th Street, Tell City with Rev. Michael Rounds officiating. Burial is in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation is from 2:00 PM until 7:00 PM CST Saturday and 10:00 AM until 1:00 PM Sunday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist Church. .
