Tell City, Indiana - Mary L. Strobel, 82, passed away on Thursday, November 7, 2013, at Perry County Memorial Hospital. She was born in Cannelton on March 22, 1931. Her parents were the late Godfrey Michael Keiser and Florence (Keating) Keiser. Also preceding her in death was a grandson, Ben Strobel and a son-in-law, Allen Kempf. A graduate of Cannelton High School, Mary married Urban John Strobel on August 24, 1957, at St. Michael Catholic Church in Cannelton. She had worked at Dauby's Department, General Electric and Holiday World Bake Shop. Mary was a member of St. Pius Catholic Church in Troy. Surviving are her husband of 56 years, Urban Strobel; children, Michael Strobel (Erin Hayden), Dennis Strobel (Kathy Clark), Bernie Strobel (Judy Stuffel), Joanie Howland (Michael) and Lee Ann Huebschman (Jay); sisters, Jean Glenn and Rita Northcott; grandchildren, Robin Strobel (Natalie), Brandy Graves (Michael), Jeremy Kempf (Breanna), Eric Frizzell, Matthew Strobel (Jessica) and Will Strobel; great grandchildren, Nolan Strobel, Noah Strobel, Harper DeVries, Henry Mullen, Isaac Strobel and Molly Strobel. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday at St. Pius Catholic Church, in Troy, with burial in St. Mary's Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3:00 until 8:00 PM on Friday and from 11:30 until 12:30 PM on Saturday at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel.
