Owensboro, Kentucky - Mary Edith Oskin, 90, passed away March 31, 2016 at Wellington Parc in Owensboro, Kentucky. She was born in Leopold, Indiana, December 16, 1925 daughter of the late John Edward and Clara Leona (Hardesty) Damin. Also preceding her in death was her husband, James Louis Oskin in 1992, siblings, Jennie Louise Burden , James Edward Damin and Vertie "Vi" Kieser. Edith was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church and had worked at General Electric. She took a lot of pride in her yard, but her main love was her family and cooking all of their favorite dishes. She is survived by her daughters: Paula (Bob) Baysinger, Glasgow, Kentucky, Doris (Joe) Niehaus, Owensboro, Kentucky and Kim (Gerry) Nord, Evansville, Indiana; siblings: Ellanora Schneider, Indianapolis, Indiana, Earl and Herbert Damin, both of Tell City, Indiana; six grandchildren: Bryan and Jared Baysinger, Brandon Nord, Crystal Murphy, Todd and Clint Niehaus; five great-grandchildren: Korbin and Kaylie Niehaus, Preston and Kate Hans, and Cassidy Mae Murphy and numerous nieces and nephews. The family of Edith Oskin would like to thank the staff at Wellington Parc, Owensboro, Kentucky, for the wonderful care given to their mother. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:00 PM Wednesday, April 6, 2016 at St. Paul Catholic Church, with burial in St. Mary's Cemetery. Rev. Dennis Duvelius will officiate. Visitation will be from 4:00 until 8:00PM Tuesday and from 11:30AM until 12:30 PM Wednesday at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Western Kentucky.
