Mary Jackson

Cannelton, Indiana Mary Katherine "Kat" Jackson, 69, passed away Sunday, February 3, 2013, at her home. She was born February 28, 1943 in Hancock County, daughter of the late Tobin and Artie Mae (Smith) Nugent. Also preceding her in death was a brother, Leonard Nugent and sisters, Evelyn Young and Emma Jean Owens. Kat was united in marriage to Kenny Jackson July 10, 1959 in Cloverport, Kentucky. A homemaker, she enjoyed fishing and golfing. She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Kenny Jackson; sons, Tim Jackson, Cannelton, Scott Jackson, Lewisport, Kentucky; daughter, Stacy Schraner, Evansville; sisters, Helen Pirtle, Tell City, Nina Mae Siedner, Mesa, Arizona, and Shirley Gray, Louisville; brother, Bobby Nugent, Louisville, Kentucky and six grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM Wednesday, February 6, 2013 at Huber Funeral Home, Cannelton Chapel, with burial in New Cliff Cemetery. Pastor Andy Payton will officiate. Visitation is from 2:00 until 7:00 PM Tuesday and from 9:00AM until service time Wednesday.
