Mary Hudson

Tell City, Indiana - Mary Helen Hudson, 66, passed away September 24, 2014 at her home. She was born November 19, 1947, in Tell City, daughter of the late James "Pete" Hess and Helen (Freeman) Hess, who survives. A 1966 graduate of Tell City High School, she was united in marriage to Dennis Hudson on September 20, 1969, at Evangelical United Church of Christ. She had worked at Farm Bureau, as a caregiver for the elderly, and in the cafeteria at Tell City High School. Mary Helen was a volunteer for the Perry County Animal Shelter and enjoyed her cats, Bella and Tess. Mary Helen is survived by her husband of 45 years, Dennis Hudson, Tell City; her mother, Helen Hess, Tell City; a son, Matt Hudson (Jamie), Fishers; a daughter, Kelsi Beaver (John), Lewisport; sisters, George Ann Franchville, Kathy Hess, Lora Smith and Lisa Powers, all of Tell City; a brother, Mike Hess, Tell City and grandchildren, Rachel and Jordan Estrada, Lucas, Breanna, Audrey and Victoria Hudson and Cody, Cami and Cory Beaver. A memorial service will be 7:00 PM Friday, September 26, 2014, at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel, with Pastor JT Hills officiating. Visitation will be from 2:00 until service time on Friday evening. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Perry County Animal Shelter, P. O. Box 4, Tell City, Indiana 47586.
