Mary Holpp

May 11, 1926 — March 4, 2017

Tell City, Indiana Mary J. Holpp, 90, passed away Saturday, March 4, 2017 at Perry County Memorial Hospital. She was born in Perry County, Indiana on May 11, 1926 to the late Douglas and Anna (Mills) Aders. Also preceding her in death was her husband, Chester A. Holpp; sons, John Holpp and James Holpp; daughter, Lisa Kellems; great granddaughter, Yvonne Cross; sisters, Arlene Rice, Lola Hall and Leona Garrison; brothers, Herman and Harold Aders. Mary was a member of St. John United Church of Christ in Cannelton. She enjoyed quilting and crocheting, listening to county music, traveling and being with her grandchildren. She also volunteered with crafts at the high rise. Surviving are daughters, Jane Morris (Robert), Tell City and Virginia "Ginny" Hagman (Paul), Leopold; eleven grandchildren, Dawn Williams, Robin Mushinski, Lorie Mehringer, Stephanie Snyder, Jeff Hagman, Erin Stoltzmann, Joshua Kellems, Dustin Kellems, Tabitha Croddy, Christopher Kellems and Cody Kellems; twenty-two great grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, March 7, 2017, at St. John United Church of Christ in Cannelton with burial in Greenwood Cemetery. Rev. Mike Thompson will officiate. Visitation will be from 2:00 until 7:00 PM on Monday at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel and from 9:00 AM until service time on Tuesday at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to St. John United Church of Christ.
