Mary C. Merkle, 78, passed away on Saturday, March 2, 2024 at the Heartford House in Owensboro, Kentucky.

She was born on December 12, 1945 to Claude and Audrey (Nix) Cartwright in Patesville, Kentucky.

For more than 15 years, Mary was the owner of Mary’s Porcelain Figurines, formerly in Patesville, retiring in 1993. She enjoyed painting, ceramics, collecting trains, vegetable and flower gardening and working in her yard.

Surviving are her children, Tina Boling, Bowling Green, KY, Crystal Merkle, Horse Branch, KY, Lafey Blair (Debbie), Utica, KY and Randall Blair, Hawesville, KY and several grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Preceding her in death were her parents; brothers, Billy, Claudie, Roger and Mitchell Cartwright; sisters, Sadie Shrader, Nellie Smith and Linda Windham; grandchildren, infant twins, Matthew and Amanda Blair and Nathaniel Lee Merkle, also in infancy.

A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 PM CST on Tuesday, March 5, 2024 at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until service time on Tuesday at the funeral Home.
