Martha Minto

Tell City, Indiana Martha Ann Minto, 90, passed away on January 10, 2023 at Oakwood Health Campus. Martha was born in Tell City on November 18, 1932 to Tony and Mabel (Little) Poehlein. She was a 1951 graduate of Tell City High School and retired from General Electric. Martha enjoyed all kinds of crafts, cross stitch and painting, assembling and making dresses for porcelain dolls, for which she won several ribbons in doll shows. Her most fond memories were of her travels with her husband, Joe. Martha volunteered for many years at Visiting Nurse Association, Owensboro River Park Center and Santa Claus Christmas letter writing program. She had been a member of the V.F.W. Women's Auxiliary and enjoyed making deliveries for the Flower Basket, formerly in Tell City. Surviving is her son, Murray Minto (Nancy), Trenton, Kentucky; granddaughter, Kelsey Klein (Ben), Owensboro, KY, niece, Donna Jo Twellman, Overland, MO and her former daughter in law, Cindy Vessels, Owensboro, KY Preceding her in death were her parents, her husband, Joe Minto, a sister, Joyce Coultas and a brother, Kenny Poehlein. The family appreciates Oakwood Health Campus for the care she received while residing there. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM CST on Sunday, January 15, 2023 at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel. Visitation will be Sunday from 11:00-2:00 PM at the funeral home. Entombment will be in Greenwood Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Honor Flight of Southern Indiana.
