Marlene Lautner

Marlene Lautner, 77, passed away on June 5, 2015, at her home. She was born in Tell City on June 6, 1937, daughter of the late Walter and Cecilia (Shaw) Kleeman. A 1955 graduate of Tell City High School, Marlene married Elmer R. "Ronnie" Lautner on December 28, 1957 at St. Paul Catholic Church. He passed away in 2012. Marlene retired in 2001 from People's Building and Loan Association where she had worked since 1972. She was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church and Hoosier Heights Country Club. Marlene was an avid bridge player and enjoyed gardening and canning. While her children were young, she was the "official swim team mom". Most memorable to her, was the time she and her family spent together at their cabin. Surviving are her children, Susan Lautner, Cleveland, Ohio, Karen Hyde (Ron), Houston, Texas, Sandy Traphagen (Craig), Evanston, Kevin Lautner (Missy), Elberfeld; sisters, Oris Savage, Tell City and Joan Lauer, Phoenix, Arizona; brother, Bob Kleeman (Ruth), Houston, Texas; grandchildren, Neil, Trevor, Brennan, Natalie, Molly, Kyle and Keenan and great grandchildren, Emma, Mak and Liv. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, June 9, 2015, at St. Paul Catholic Church with burial in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2:00 until 8:00 PM on Monday and from 8:30 until 9:30 AM on Tuesday at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel. Rev. Dennis Duvelius will officiate. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul Catholic Church.
