Troy, Indiana Marjorie Genet, 87, passed away Monday, September 27, 2010 at Scenic Hills in Ferdinand. She was born March 10, 1923 in Perry County daughter of the late William and Margaret (Foster) Jones. Also preceding her in death was her husband Albert A. Genet, son Albert L. Genet, brothers, Robert, Hilbert and Ezra Jones and sisters, Hilda Jones, Betty Boling and Janice Arterberry. Marjorie married Albert Genet December 15, 1936 in Hawesville. He passed away on September 4, 2003. Marjorie worked at Tell City Chair and retired from Abbey Press in 1982. A member of St. Isidore Catholic Church, Marjorie enjoyed quilting and cooking. She is survived by a daughter Geraldine Brown, Troy, and a sister Donna Rae Pekau, Mesa, Arizona, 7 grandchildren, Laverne Schuetz, Kevin, Kent, Kim, Kenny, Kelvin, and Christine Brown, and 12 great grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 12:00 PM on Friday, October 1, 2010 at St. Isidore Catholic Church with burial in the church cemetery. Rev. Guy Mansini O.S.B. will officiate. Visitation will be from 3:00 until 8:00 PM on Thursday and from 10:00 until 11:00 AM on Friday at Huber Funeral Home Tell City Chapel. There will be a parish prayer service at 5:30 PM on Thursday. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Isidore Catholic Church or Cemetery.
