Marie James

Leopold, Indiana Marie James, 97, passed away May 1, 2015 at Oakwood Health Campus. She was born in Mount Pleasant, March 15, 1918, daughter of the late Charles and Elizabeth (Watson) Etienne. Also preceding her in death was her husband Earl W. James, son, J.C. James, grandsons Brian James and Karl James, three great grandchildren, son-in-laws, Don Mayden and Darrell Hagman, brother, Leonard Etienne, sisters, Sr. Geraldine Etienne, Aileen Rennie and Hazel James. Marie was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church and the Altar Society. She is survived by daughters; Charlotte Mayden, New Salisbury, Gerladine Hagman, Leopold, Linda Ziegelgruber (Kenny), Tell City, Betty Jo Genet, Boonville; sons, Allen James (Jo), Paoli, Durward James (Brenda), Tell City and Doyle James (Vicki), Mount Pleasant; sister, Clarice James, Tell City; 18 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 AM Monday, May 4, 2015 at St. Augustine Catholic Church with burial in the church cemetery. Rev. Dennis Duvelius will officiate. Visitation will be from 2:00 until 7:00 PM Sunday and from 8:00 until 9:00 AM Monday at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Augustine Catholic Church.
