Marella Russelburg

Cannelton, Indiana - Marella B. Russelburg, 70, passed away on November 10, 2018, at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. She was born in Owensboro, Kentucky on May 1, 1948 to the late George F. and Mary Victoria (Kelly) Basinger. A 1966 graduate of Hancock County High School, Marella attended cosmetology school and worked as a hair stylist for over 30 years. She was united in marriage on February 5, 1971 to Vernon Russelburg. She was a member of Hawesville United Methodist Church, belonging to its Circle #2. Marella was always ready to go anywhere, especially with her husband. She enjoyed traveling, singing, crocheting, word puzzles and her grand dogs, Madie and Oreo. Surviving is her husband of nearly 48 years, Vernon Russelburg, Cannelton; daughters, Rita Russelburg, Cannelton and Mary R. Dauby (Rob), Tell City; sister, Patricia Basinger, Tell City and a brother, Roger C. Basinger (Carol), Lewisport, KY. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM CST Tuesday, November 13, 2018 at Hawesville United Methodist Church. Rev. Peter Han will officiate. Burial will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Hawesville. Visitation will be Monday from 4:00-7:00 PM at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel and Tuesday from 9:00-11:00 AM at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to Kentucky United Methodist Children's Home.
