Mardan Hurst

Evansville, Indiana Mardan Lee Hurst, Sr., age 45, of Evansville, passed away on Wednesday, December 26, 2018 at St. Vincent Hospital in Evansville due to complications from surgery. He was a native of Dale, Indiana and graduated from Heritage Hills High School in 1991. Mardan was employed at Berry Plastics in Evansville. He enjoyed Colts football, being involved with his sons Boy Scouts troop, Star Wars, and model trains. Mardan's proudest accomplishment was being a father to his two sons, Mardy and Aaron. He is preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Beverly Hurst. Mardan is survived by his high school sweetheart and wife of 19 years, April Knieriem Hurst of Evansville; two sons, Mardy Jr. and Aaron Hurst, both of Evansville; aunt, Paula Hurst of Grandview; uncle, Larrie Hurst of Dale; father-in-law, Donald Knieriem (Dora) of Tell City; niece, Hadley Kleeman, and nephews, Matthew Kleeman and Donnie Wright. Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM CST on Saturday, December 29, 2018 at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel. Rev. Crystal McAliley will officiate. Burial will follow in German Ridge Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until 2:00 PM Saturday at the funeral home.
