Tell City, Indiana - Reverend Lottie J. Bittner, 68, formerly of Tell City, passed away on Saturday, January 11, 2014, in Amarillo, Texas. She was born on October 5, 1945, in Owensboro, Kentucky. Her parents were the late Vernon and Jean Fuqua. At the age of five, her family moved to Cannelton where her father pastored a church, ran a furniture store and a restaurant. She married Robert "Bob" Bittner on October 22, 1964, at Millstone United Methodist Church. Lottie pastored the Tell City Pentecostal Church for two years and pastored the Glorious Church for ten years before becoming a full time evangelist. She attended Agape' Community Church before moving to Amarillo, Texas, where she attended The Church of "New Beginnings". Prior to moving , she worked for the Agape' Thrift Store, where she loved working with the ladies. She also enjoyed singing, outside gardening, and antiquing. She loved the Lord, going to church and visiting with family and friends. Survivors include her sons, Paul Bittner and wife Joy ,Amarillo, TX, Eli Bittner, Jasper; daughter-in-law Betty Bittner, Collinsville, MS; brother, Jeff Fuqua and wife Lynda, Cannelton,; 2 grandsons, Freddie Singer and Anthony Bittner, both of Collinsville, MS; 3 step-grandchildren, Katrina Phillips and husband Michael, Donny Stone and wife Terrye and Krystal Dubose and husband Jeremy, all of Amarillo, TX; 6 great grandchildren; a step-great - great grandson; 3 nieces and 6 great nieces and great nephews. Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Friday, January 17, 2014 at Agape Community Church in Cannelton with burial in New Cliff Cemetery. Bro. Ron Ammons will officiate. Visitation will be from 2:00 until 7:00 PM Thursday and from 10:00 AM until service time Friday, both days at the church. Huber Funeral Home, Cannelton Chapel is handling the arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to the Lottie J. Bittner Memorial Fund, in care of The Church "of New Beginnings", 2504 S. Williams Street, Amarillo, TX 79103.
