**Loren's family would appreciate your consideration of wearing a mask during the visitation and funeral service** St. Croix, Indiana Loren Ray Saalman, 80, passed away on December 7, 2021. He was born in St. Croix on December 30, 1940, son of John D. and Lillian E. (Keilman) Saalman. Loren was a 1959 graduate of Oil Township High School. He had worked for Tell City Chair for over 34 years. He was self-employed with "Peel To Save" Fundraising for 10 years and had also worked security at French Lick Hotel at the Dome. Loren had been a member of Evangelical United Church of Christ and had been attending Branchville Methodist Church. He enjoyed playing golf, euchre, and watching I.U. basketball, St. Louis Cardinals and Green Bay Packers. Loren always looked forward to spending time with family and friends. Loren is survived by his children; Beth Saalman (Marcial Wood), Winslow and Dwaine Ray Saalman (Denise), Frisco, Texas; grandson, Jackson Ray Saalman and his companion, Virginia Clark. He was preceded in death by his sisters; Dolores Kellams and Dorothy Lynch and a brother, Arlin "Bud" Saalman. Funeral services will at 2:00 PM CST Friday, December 10, 2021 at Huber Funeral Home, Tell Chapel, with burial in Walker Cemetery in Branchville. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until service time on Friday at the funeral home. Pastor Josh Harris will officiate. Memorial contributions may be made to Walker Cemetery. Loren's family would appreciate masks being worn during the visitation and funeral service.
