Tell City, Indiana Lloyd A. Lawalin, 91, passed away December 29, 2018 at Golden Living Center in Tell City. He was born in Tell City, Indiana on February 13, 1927 to the late James E. and Stella (Stephens) Lawalin. Lloyd was united in marriage on June 30, 1945 to the former Bertha Bolin. He retired from Tell City Chair Company and was a member of St. Johns United Church of Christ, Cannelton. Lloyd enjoyed gardening, cutting wood, bird watching and cowboy movies. Surviving is his wife of 73 years, Bertha A. Lawalin; children, Judy Polk, Tell City, Steve Lawalin (Shelley), Cannelton, Kenny Lawalin (Chris), Leopold, Debbie Lawalin, Lanesville, Randy Lawalin, Cannelton, Karen Miller (Tim), Tell City, and Roger Lawalin (Stacey), Lamar; 18 grandchildren, Ginger Richardson, Mike Polk, Stephanie Strahl, Stacy Mathes, Brian Lawalin, Nathan Lawalin, Jason Lawalin, Dan Lawalin, Rhonda Lee, Brad Lawalin, Josh Lawalin, Erika Hollinden, Phil Lawalin, Kaylie Miller, Collin Miller, Scott Lawalin, Breyan Ayer and Alyssa Bolen; several great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. Lloyd is preceded in death by his parents, son in law, Don Polk, sisters, Hazel Ramsey and Evelyn Toothman and brothers, Leroy, Eddie and Curt Lawalin. Funeral services will at 11:00 AM CST on Thursday, January 3, 2019 at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 2:00-7:00 PM and Thursday 9:00-11:00 AM at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Johns United Church of Christ, Cannelton or Perry County Relay for Life.
