Linda Simpson

Cannelton, Indiana Linda Simpson, 63, passed away Wednesday, August 7, 2013 at her home. She was born May 1, 1950 in Perry County, daughter of the late Clyde Harper and Ruth (Burns) Adamson. Also preceding her in death were her step-father, Pete Adamson, brothers, Charles "Buddy", Melvin and Paul Harper, sisters, Marjorie Nix and Thelma Terry Miller. Linda was united in marriage May 17, 1969 to Steve Simpson, who survives. She had worked at Yaggi's Bar and Grill for many years and for Perry County Memorial Hospital. Linda enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and making bracelets. She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Steve; daughter, Susan Entwistle (Brian), Cannelton; sons, Jeff Simpson (Jennifer), Tell City, Ryan Simpson (Kara), Tell City and Eric Simpson (Holly), Hawesville; sisters, Daisy James, Cannelton, Carolyn Carter, Cannelton, Nancy Bradshaw, Knoxville, TN, Brenda Pohl, Derby, Betty Hawkins, Degonia Spring, Wanda Daley, Phoenix and Rose Moore, Eckerty; brothers, Clyde "Eddie" Harper, Tell City, Darrell Harper, Tell City and Joe Harper, Rome; 8 grandchildren, Tyler Baur, Madelaine Simpson, Ashley Kellems, Jackson Froning, Kirra Entwistle, Charlotte Entwistle, Xavier Simpson and Maddox Simpson. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Friday, August 9, 2013 at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel with burial in Lilly Dale Cemetery. Bro. Bob Campbell will officiate. Visitation will be 3:00 until 8:00 PM Thursday and 9:00 until 11:00 AM Friday. Memorial contributions may be made to Gentiva Hospice.
