Tell City, Indiana Linda S. (Young) Bickell, 62, passed away peacefully on February 19, 2017, at her home. She was born in Pirmasens, Germany on July 3, 1954 to the late Henry and Emmi Rosa (Jahn) Young. Also preceding her in death was an infant daughter, Natalie K. Kieser and a brother in law, Frank Dupont. Linda was a 1972 graduate of Tell City High School. She was most recently employed with Sisters of St. Benedict, where she worked in the kitchen. She was united in marriage on October 28, 2000, to Bill Bickell, who survives her. Linda had a passion and love for animals, often opening her home to any stray. A bell collector, she enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren, who will always remember her as a jokester that was sassy and spunky. Surviving are her husband, Bill Bickell, Tell City; a son, Danny "Dan" Kieser (Mellany), Jacob, IL; a daughter, Jennifer Schaad (Johnny), Tell City; sisters, Milli Klueh (Jim), Fulda, Rebecca "Boone" Dupont, Tell City, and Monica Holmes (Jamey), Tell City; brothers, Jesse Young (Jeanie), Colorado, David Young (Lynette), Tell City, and Wes Young (Renita), Tell City; twelve grandchildren, Bethany Bastert (Nathan), Kaitlyn and Breanna Wirth, Nakaa Robinson (Brenden), John Robert "J.R.", Zak and Natalie Kieser, Austin, Sierra, Savannah and Beau Schaad and Bailey Bloyd; two great grandchildren, Rilan Sandage and Theo Bastert. Funeral services will be at Noon on Thursday, February 23, 2017, at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery. Brother Justin Bosley will officiate. Visitation will be Wednesday from 3:00-8:00 PM and Thursday 10:00 AM-Noon at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made the Perry County Animal Shelter or Sandra's Comfort, a non-profit organization helping cancer patients with financial burdens.
