Cannelton, Indiana Lillian B. ""Brownie"" Taylor, 99, passed away Saturday, November 22, 2008 at Oakwood Health Campus in Tell City, Indiana. Lillian was born in Hancock County, Kentucky on November 11, 1909, daughter of the late Homer Remington and Betty Powers Remington. After completing her high school education, she attended Western Kentucky University. She was united in marriage in Owensboro, Kentucky on May 3, 1930 to Lee Taylor, who died in 1977. She was also preceded in death by a son, Harry L. Taylor and her grandson, Michael Taylor. Brownie was formerly an employee of the Cotton Mill in Cannelton and formerly active in the Order of Easter Star. She was the oldest member of St. John's United Church of Christ in Cannelton. Brownie was an avid bridge player. She is survived by two sons, Thomas L. Taylor, Louisville, Kentucky Richard H. Taylor, Louisville, Kentucky Two grandchildren, Tiffany DeGrandis and Elizabeth Burkhart One step granddaughter, Kristel Marquart Four great grandchildren One Step Great Grandchild Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM CST Tuesday, November 25, 2008 at Huber Funeral Home, 129 N. 6th Street, Cannelton, Indiana with burial in Greenwood Cemetery, Tell City, Indiana. Rev. Mike Thompson will officiate. Visitation is from 2:00 until 7:00 PM Monday and 9:00 until service time on Tuesday at Huber Funeral Home, Cannelton Chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to St. John United Church of Christ.
