Leta L. Smith

Tell City, Indiana – 

 Leta L. Smith, 78, passed away on February 6, 2025.

 She was born in Cloverport, Kentucky on February 2, 1946, daughter of Clarence and Leta (Butler) Pate. 

 Leta retired from Branchville Correctional Facility where she was a guard. 

 When she was able, she attended First United Methodist Church in Cannelton. Leta had been a member of VFW Post #2939 Ladies Auxiliary. 

 Leta loved her wiener dogs but was most proud of the six generations of girls in her family named “Leta”. 

 She is survived by her daughter, Leta Dunn; sons, Mike Dunn and Doug Dunn and her husband Richard’s children.

 She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Richard Smith.

 Graveside services will be held at 1:00 PM CST on Friday, February 7, 2025, at Cloverport Cemetery in Cloverport, Kentucky.
