Tell City, Indiana - Lester W. Perryman, 68, passed away September 10, 2015, at Perry County Memorial Hospital. He was born in Tell City, October 12, 1946, son of the late Chester and Wilhelmina (Hearst) Perryman. Also preceding him in death was his first wife, Nancy Perryman; son, Wesley Perryman, in infancy, brother, Robert Perryman and sisters, Barbara Perryman and Phyllis Ward. Lester was united in marriage on March 16, 1985, to Roxanne Pierce and was a 1966 graduate of Tell City High School. He was a U.S. Army veteran and retired from the Tell City Water Department. He had worked for several years at Herman Peters, Inc. as a plumber. Lester was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church and VFW Post #2939. He enjoyed vegetable gardening, was a good handyman making things for friends and family. Lester is survived by his wife of 30 years, Roxanne Perryman; daughters, Lesley Brown (Joe), Washington; Catie Jo Whitaker (Ashley), Tell City and Monica Lynn Perryman, Tell City; sons, Shawn Perryman (Kelly), Tell City and Eric Perryman, Tell City; sisters, Donna Thomas, Newtonville, Margie Zoglman, Newtonville and Wilma Hildebrandt, Tell City; brother, Garry Perryman, Evansville; grandchildren, Landon Perryman, Owen and Dane Brown, Beau and Mia Alvey. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 AM Tuesday, September 15, 2015, at St. Paul Catholic Church will burial in St. Mary's Cemetery. Rev. Dennis Duvelius will officiate. Visitation will be from 3:00 until 8:00 PM Monday and from 8:30 until 9:30 AM Tuesday at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel. There will be military graveside rites conducted by VFW Post #2939. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul Backpack Program.
