Tobinsport, Indiana Leon ""Bing"" Ahl, 75, formerly of Tobinsport, died at 12:05 PM Saturday, November 19, 2005 at Beverly Health Care in Tell City, Indiana. Leon was born September 22, 1930 in Tobinsport, Indiana, son of the late Earl C. Ahl and Verna Dell Miller Ahl. He was also preceded in death by a son, Kevin Ahl, his first wife, Julia Gude Ahl, his second wife, Lillian Shellenberger Ahl, his third wife, Louise Harding Ahl, two brothers, Kenneth and Earl L.(Rue) Ahl and a step-daughter, Joyce Bender. ""Bing"" retired in 1992 from Mulzer Crushed Stone where he had been an employee for 38 years. He enjoyed playing cards, camping and taking his pontoon on the river. He is survived by two daughters, Christina Brown, Cannelton, Indiana, Cheryl Ahl, Tell City, Indiana, four sons, Steven Ahl and his wife Terri, Tobinsport, Indiana, Richard and his wife Joyce, Rome, Indiana, Brian Ahl, Louisville, Kentucky and Phillip Ahl, Tobinsport, Indiana, and two step-sons, Stanley Harding, Tell City, Indiana and Jerry Harding and a sister, Alice Thorn, Tell City, Indiana. Nine grandchildren survive, Jason, Steven, Jared, Joshua Ahl, Vicki Davis, Amanda Howe, Andrea Scamahorn, Carley and Verna Gay Jones and four step grandchildren, Jamie Malone, Josh Bender, Jason and Brad Harding. There are nine great grandchildren and one step great grandchild. Funeral services will be held at10:00 AM Tuesday, November 22, 2005 at Huber Funeral Home, Cannelton Chapel, with burial in the Lamb Cemetery. Rev. Paul Vaughan, Hawesville, Kentucky will officiate. Visitation will be from 2-8 PM Monday and 9-10 AM Tuesday at Huber Funeral Home, 129 N. 6th Street, Cannelton, Indiana. Memorial contributions may be made to the Tobinsport Cemetery Association.
