Magnet, Indiana Leland J. Bryant, 61, formerly of Derby, Indiana, passed away Tuesday, May 22, 2012 at his home in Hawesville, Kentucky. Leland was born in Derby, Indiana on August 7, 1950, son of the late John Roy Bryant and Hazel Cassidy Bryant who survives. He was also preceded in death by his first wife, Kwon Bryant. Leland was employed at IES in Houston, Texas as an industrial electrician. He served in the United States Army. He was a member of the Alton American Legion and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #2939. Leland enjoyed hunting and fishing. Leland is survived by his wife of 33 years, Elaine, his mother, Hazel Bryant, four sons, Tony Bryant, Gatchel, Indiana, Shawn Bryant, Hawesville, Kentucky, Tarvin Durbin, Jr., Byron, Georgia, Derek Harrison, Tell City, a daughter, Sabrina Durbin, Branchville, three brothers, Bennett and Curt Bryant of Magnet, John Bryant, Leopold, five sisters, Barbara Durbin, Branchville, , Gayle Davis, Norene Duke, Mary Miller, Sarah Sandage, all of Tell City. There are eleven grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Friday, May 25, 2012 at Huber Funeral Home, 129 N. 6th Street, Cannelton, Indiana with burial in Derby Cemetery where the V.F.W and the American Legion will conduct military graveside services. Visitation is from 2:00-8:00 PM Thursday and 9:00 - 10:00 AM Friday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the family.
