Lawrence Remmetter

Derby, Indiana Lawrence L. "Larry" Remmetter, 65, passed away Thursday, January 8, 2015 at Owensboro Health Regional in Owensboro, Kentucky. He was born in Indianapolis, November 25, 1949, son of the late John and Loretta (Feeney) Remmetter. Also preceding him in death was his sister, Karen Smeltzer. A U.S. Army veteran, Larry retired from Kingswood Regional High School, Region 9 Vocational School, as a culinary arts teacher. He enjoyed fishing, playing cards and was an avid Notre Dame fan. Larry is survived by daughters; Jennifer Berkowitz, Effingham, N.H., Rose Felzani, Chelmsford, MA, Claire Remmetter, Portland ME; sons, Dan Remmetter, Cornish, ME and John Remmetter, Manchester, N.H.; sisters, Beatrice Parr and Madonna Koers, both of Indianapolis, Theresa Howell, Lafayette, Mary Quiett, Mishawaka; brother, Tom Remmetter, Derby and six grandchildren. It was Larry's wishes that there be no services. Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel, will be handling his arrangements.
