Lawrence Litherland

Tell City, Indiana Lawrence Litherland, 88, formerly of Cannelton, passed away Monday, September 26, 2011 at Golden Living Center. He was born in Perry County August 5, 1923, son of the late Everett and Lauanna (Ashworth) Litherland. Also preceding him in death were his wife Elizabeth (Young) Litherland in 1996, daughter, Linda Litherland, brother, Charles Litherland, a sister Faye Crick and sons-in-law, Leroy Engelbrecht and David Baize. Lawrence was a member of Berean Baptist Church and retired as a supervisor from the former Can-Tex Industries. He enjoyed woodworking, gardening and spending time with his family. He is survived by; daughters, Lucille Northup (Bob), Dale, Shirley Baize, Tell City, Carolyn Bowman (Paul), Tell City and Charlotte Critchfield (Mike), Evansville; sons, James Litherland (Carole), Tell City and Randy Litherland (Barb), Tell City; sister, Marjorie Lenhart, Birchwood, WI; brothers, Basil Litherland, Louisville, and Cecil Litherland, Palm Harbor, FL; 23 grandchildren; 42 great grandchildren; 14 great great grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM Thursday, September 29, 2011 at Berean Baptist Church with burial in Greenwood Cemetery. Pastor Harry McDonald will officiate. Visitation will be from 2:00 until 8:00 PM on Wednesday at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel and from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM Thursday at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to Berean Baptist Church.
